Question. I have two 12 volt batts now linked to gether in parallel. The 12 volt turbine is hooked up to the 12 volt system. I just found this cool gadget onliine that is a 24 volt grid tie inverter that plugs in the wall outlet. Can I run my two batts in series to get the nessasary 24 volts to run the inverter, and still hook up the turbine to just one of my batteries?

No you are SOL, and stuck with a 12 volt system due to your turbine, and the 24 volt GT inverter is illegal to use in the USA.

I think its the SWEA model.....probably the same thing your talking about. Is it illegal because it backfeeds during an outage? SWEA 250 Watt Grid Tie Inverter

Don't know if it back feeds or not, it shouldn't, the problem is listing and disconnect requirements for the FD.
