if nothing is plugged into my solar panel , where does the power go , is there damage being done ?

If you mean what happens to an open circuit PV panel, any generated current is absorbed by panel.
No, it will not damage panel. |

thanx an open circuit is what i mean . i make sure i dont open my flexible solar panel until it's plugged into my battery

To give you an example that may be better understood.. What happens to the power at a power outlet in your house wqhen nothing is plugged into it?? NOTHING. Same for solar panel connected to nothing. NOTHING HAPPENS.. Both items can be left in that condition for ever or even a bit longer with no problems
